Come before the 31st October, the property is sold!

On 16 April 2025, the property where the Health Centre resides was sold to Halter AG, a major Swiss construction company. This marked the end of a wonderful adventure that began in Seelisberg almost 40 years ago at the inspiration of Maharishi Mahesh Yogi. We know what this means to many of you because we are experiencing it ourselves with a dose of sadness.

That said, we look forward to welcoming you until 31 October 2025 and will be operating as usual. The whole team: Doris, Anja, Antonella, Joanne, Jose, Richard, Alastair, Otto, Maria, Eric and Sophie... will be there for you.

We are doing our best to ensure the continuity of the Maharishi AyurVeda Health Centre in Switzerland, by finding a doctor or naturopath to assist and then take over from Dr Sophie Beall; and finding a new site and building to house the future Health Centre. There are many possible options, and we'd be delighted to hear your suggestions!

After 31 October, Dr Sophie Beall will remain available to answer your questions, offer consultations, provide Marmatherapy treatments and refer you to a Panchakarma Centre if necessary.

It is important to us that you continue to experience the unique depth of Maharishi Panchakarma or a rejuvenating Ayurvedic holiday.

Halter AG, which has been in business for more than 100 years, has already developed a concept for the renovation and expansion of the listed Grandhotel Sonnenberg, for the renovation of the former Hotel Kulm and for the construction of several residential buildings on adjacent plots. It has also held discussions with the municipality and the canton in this regard.

During a meeting on Friday November 29, 2024, at the Town hall in Seelisberg, the residents were presented with the last version of Halter AG’s project, and agreed by vote to modifications needed to implement it. The actual construction would take a few years.
